It’s considered a religious Native American plant so the state doesn’t enforce the federal ban. It’s not common but I’ve seen it at a few nurseries. I never bought any bc it’s not interesting to me but now that you mentioned it…. Lol 😂

This would appear to be the #pentagonal version of this #ottoman plant. Seriously, though, they're illegal to own on account of the mescaline content but I find all manner of photos of these guys, including this one which is cropped out of what is obviously a nursery full of them. What gives?

@emch I’ve also never seen a Peyote plant before. Crazy how it looks like a brain 🧠 Very appropriate considering what it primarily affects when ingested!

@kypie8 -- the uncrested normal peyote cactus looks like a beanbag chair with a Mohawk. Not sure what message that sends LOL
