Help me identify this leafiness I found by the side of the road. Zone 6. A vine? A shrub? I know not what. Note the red stems and the lighter stripe down the middle of each leaflet. Hard up against tall trees so probably enjoys part shade. About up to mid-thigh on me or a little taller. PlantID

Google Lens says Securigera varia, commonly known as crownvetch. I’ve never heard of it, though!!!
Looked that up and it seems you've nailed it, @jacaranda -- an introduced invasive with pretty pink flowers #killitwithfire
I think it's a nitrogen fixer though, so it's feeding your soil as it's taking over... #nitrogen-fixing
