@richard.spicer.7906 I don’t know if this helps? If you need any other details to help please let me know
Yes, a little. The most common double is Flore Pleno which is a double form of the common Snowdrop, and at can have 3-5 outer petals which may each vary in length slight, so not fully consistent around the entire flower. And the foliage you had on another pic looked like it was related to the nivalis species - I’m therefore gonna say it’s likely to be Flore Pleno 🤔
Wahoo! I’ll take that. Great, thank you so much :-) #happyme

Do any of you galanthus experts know which variety this is?
@richard.spicer.7906 Rich can you help Emma with this lovely one 💚💚
Thank you @Keely These we’re already in the garden when we moved in so not sure which they are
Well it’s definitely a double - could be Flore Pleno, or Lady Beatrix Stanley? @Emma915Jones @Keely - will check my notes when I get home 👍🏼
Amazing @richard.spicer.7906 Thank you. These are the first to open, there are still more popping up, if I find a different variety I may ask again if you don’t mind?
Actually, probably not Lady Beatrix as this has only 3 outer petals. Yours has more looking at last years pics
Sure - I’ll give it a go! 🙂 there are so many it’s often quite difficult but you never know 😁

Pretty 💚
Morning all, hope you’re weekend is as bright and fresh as these two beauties, not like the miserable dark, damp, rainy weather in South Wales 🏴 😂
Morning Emma. It's raining here as we speak but promises to brighten up later ......the ground is so wet though!! Enjoy your weekend :))
Beautiful photo 💗
Yes we have the same forecast @flof1952 but I’m hoping to do the bird count and also hoping to get the garden shredder out. I have loads of stuff drying out in the greenhouse that I want to get rid of.
Thank you @belindah
Morning Emma, what a great shot. 😍😍
Morning Emma this is so pretty bit of potting up for me tomorrow weather permitting 😀
Hi Emma, my Canon is the EOS650D (small sensor). I have the Canon 70-300mm, but never use it because the quality of the 300L images (with or without the extender) is much better. If I’m after birds (much of my photography) I keep the 300mm & 1.4x on the camera (equivalent to ~650mm) and rarely find my subjects are too close / large for the combination to work. I can focus down to about 3m. I am able to crop quite heavily if needed for distant birds. When out I carry a Powershot for wider shots.
That’s really helpful, @oldgreyheron thank you x sorry I forgot to tag you in originally 😊
Beautiful.
Thank you @johninbrighton @ukjohnny
