Skimmia japonica 'Rubella'

I bought a skimmia some time ago and truthfully I didn’t know much about the plant, I was simply aesthetically drawn to it. I was very happy with it and just took it, naively, as a beautiful plant with two in pots either side of the summer house. One day I was enjoying the sunshine and caught a scent, it was a gorgeous scent but one I did not recognise. To my surprise I found it was coming from this plant. I was so excited and have found myself another forever plant I could not live without.

Isn't that the best reason, love a plants looks and then find s scented bonus 😁

I looove the scent and the flowerbuds but not sure about the open flowers. They look a bit washed out. I move it to a holding area until I can find it better companions 😊
