After embarrassigly many near-death experiences, eventually resulting in being dumped into one of my raised borders, my cyclamen #fromseed are proving to be far more resilient than I thought.

#progress #cyclamen #fromseed We're now up to at least 19 little seedlings!!! The instructions say to leave them until they go dormant the second season. I might have to sit on my hands.

@gjones, remember me complaining about my cyclamen seeds failing? Just a few days later, things started to happen in the tray I had given up on. Now there are 9 tiny leaves showing, and I find myself checking on them several times a day! I usually struggle at this stage with the balance of enough/too much water, so there is no guarantee all 9 will live, but I am so excited!!! @richer.spicer.7906 I remember you had your cyclamen seeds in a cupboard, how did it go?
Well done Mona 👍🏻
Yay! @christineb my track record with seeds isn't great, so I really do feel I have pulled off something quite extraordinary... 😎

Apparently it helps to complain, because look what I found @gjones !!! The friendly local GC owner even promised to order the coum variety for me as well! 😄😄😄
These are Hederifolium Silverleaf and Silverleaf Alba.
I agree about the foilage, @gjones. In time, I am aiming for a carpet under some trees😁 This GC is independent and probably doing what they can to set themselves apart from the chains. They also make their own plants. I try to support them whenever I can.
I can already see them under a nice tree those r so pretty and the foliage nice flowers. I agree with@gjones nothing like pics of progress I try to do it when I remember but we sort of have some. I was looking at my first pic of my palm tree in spring and at it now... Wow it's really grown. But flowerbeds and all are great having our journeys all in GT and advice plus wishlist I love this site🤣😂🤣🤗👍🏻👏👏😊💕
Me too @terrimclaughlin .
These suddenly appeared under my Magnolia! They have had a hard life after I grew them from seed, I didn’t expect any of them to survive being trampled on by carpenters, but here they are, and I am very happy! The cyclamen leaves in the background are from a different, non-hardy variety that still manage to survive winters here - most of the time, in a sheltered spot.
