From Haugesund. With 3 children and a husband who's seemingly constantly away on business, I garden like it could save my life - and it probably does!

I went shopping today. Haven't had anything this big since before kids (BK). It is labeled Areca palm (Chrysalidocarpus lutescens), but I think it is also called Dypsis.

😂😂😂 Somehow I knew I didn't get that right, but it just wouldn't come to me. This mom thing has ruined my brain! @jpea On the plus side though, not a single one of my children knocked the plant over or smeared dirt all over the floor. Perhaps because they are now 6, 8 and 11 -- guess it is time to realize they aren't so little anymore.

@gjones @ShelleySnyder, I had to tilt and bend it to even get it in the car! But it was on sale, and it is supposed to be good for cleaning air and improving indoor climate, so I feel I did good😁😁😁

Beautiful! They like humidity, if you see the tips browning/drying, it's their way of telling they need more! :)

Thanks @treefrog44. We have the heaters going all winter, and that is hard on both plants and my skin. Will do my very best to keep is all in good shape!

Not trying to tempt anyone into going shopping or anything - but it does feel good to add some green this time of year 😉 @richard.spicer.7906
