Paeonia x suffruticosa

Just the one bloom for the second year in a row. The larger and older bush, that has been flowering reliably for years, seems to be on strike or something. Both plants look healthy and happy, so I guess I’ll just have to give it time.

I have two tree peonies. One has flowered for years, just not this year, it seems. This one was pretty much left for dead after one too many moves, and now it just flowered for the first time.

Turns out this little twig was only "mostly dead" after all! It probably won't flower this year, but I wonder what color it will turn out to be. Exciting!!!
