Hi Mona... lovely photo 🧡

The tulip is way past its prime, but the color still provides such a great contrast to all the green and the paper-thin poppies.

I find myself naturally drawn to simplicity, single shapes and some sort of order - but at the same time I think it is so cool how these self-seeded poppies seem to have a mind of their own. They show up in unexpected places and sometimes with the unexpected double form. Quite uncharacteristically for my rather up-tight personality, I find it easy to just let them be and enjoy what is.

I am so enjoying my poppies this year, and it is easy to see that I am not the only one! There is a constant buzzing of bees, hoverflies, bumblebees and some smaller guys too. #wildlifewednesday

We had a wet day yesterday. It made me realize just how hairy these things are!
Fabulous shot 👌

Virus? Mutation? Or just plain weird???
Stunning #mutant -- save those seeds!!!
🧡
@emch I hadn’t thought of that, but I’ll definitely try and see if I will be able to produce more with similar markings.
