From Haugesund. With 3 children and a husband who's seemingly constantly away on business, I garden like it could save my life - and it probably does!

These were my outdoor tomatoes. I had to move them indoors when the recent extreme rain proved to be way too much water and all the lovely ripe fruits split. I'll be using them in a soup later today, so they won't go to waste.

I wonder if my outdoor tomatoes will manage to ripen? I've been eating lovely red tomatoes from the orangery for a few weeks now. If it gets too cold before these get done, I'll just dig them up and bring them inside.

I guess I could do that too @gjones - though I'm still hoping for a warm and long autumn of course 😁😁😁

I also had the silly idea they would be trailing if I put them in hanging pots...

I need to locate the empty seed packet so that I can make sure I try a different variety next year. @ShelleySnyder @Diane76

I foolishly thought they wouldn't need staking since they are supposed to be bush variety.

It seems the stems are extremely brittle, they snap rather than bend. Perhaps I've given them too much water? @ShelleySnyder @gjones

Oh boy Mona, it's been so very long sense I grew tomatoes that I really couldn't tell you! Sorry!💘😍

Each year I tell myself I won't bother with tomatoes next year, but it is amazing how things always feel more doable during the winter months😉 Don't worry, I'll probably try again @ShelleySnyder

YES! All winter it's "I can do that! I'm gonna do that! I wanna do that!" Then reality sets in!😂😂💘😍

Yep @ShelleySnyder , I'm just about getting to that time now. 🤣 But reality isn't so bad, even if things rarely work out the way I planned. I do what I can with what I have, and I practice letting go of the rest.

That's a great Outlook! Cuz gardening isn't an exact science! It's supposed to be fun and games!💘😍

Making the most of the available space! Here, and especially this year, growing them outside isn't really an option, so this will have to do.

Thanks @pottybird42 . The canes are supported by hooks in the ceiling. I am kind of looking forward to when they are finished, though...

The homegrown ones really are quite special, aren't they @columbiariver . Each year I tell myself I won't bother with seeds, but I always end up doing it anyway.

@gjones, it was quite a show when we moved it outside for the two weeks we were on holiday! We had to be three people to get the long thing safely secured in a sheltered corner so my brother could water it while we were away.
