Am I right in thinking this is a fritillary? I planted some in the garden last year that I'd had knocking around for a while because I'd forgotten about them (assumed they wouldn't grow). Have just spotted this hidden in my sweet William and it looks like a fritillary to me but the ones I planted were purple not white.

Yes it is Snake head I think

They can also be white

It was snakehead fritillary that I bought. Pleased the bulbs survived. I planted them with not much hope of them growing
