Omg that's huge I bought my friend one about 9 years ago she has done everything right but still no flower ( it was around 6ft when I bought it cost around £40 , just to give you an idea of age of plant ) have you any advice I could pass on as she seems gutted each year it doesn't flower 😫😫😫😘
Hi Zoe, they normally dont flower until they are quite big, heres a quote from the internet: 'This tree rarely blooms until it's been in the ground at least a decade. Trees often bloom well only in alternate years.
This is a legendary tree, brought back to England about 1900 by the famous plant explorer E. H. Wilson, after an expedition to China specifically to find it. @Hut123456789
