First Flowering of my phormium after years without. Is it the heat? Or dryness?

euphorbia
Mine is flowering for the first time ever and I have also noticed quite a few when out and about. Maybe it is something to do with the mild winter. It is an interesting flower. @gardenchap

I got one flower last year after 2 years with none. This year there's around 10 after I dug the ground around it at cut it back a bit. It must be loving the Lancaster climate at the moment.

It is quite different isn't it @euphorbia. Fascinating. Does it open out more @LynnS ?

LynnS
If memory serves me correctly, they are at full bloom when they look like the ones at the bottom of your photo.

Thanks @LynnS will keep watch

Now with seed pods. Not sure if they're worth keeping and sowing.
