Finally some progress with the agastache.

@gardengimp I've grown these from seed, plants now in and about a foot tall, hoping for some flowers when we get back from Crete!! 😍

Wish I had somewhere to grow from seed, but the kids' trampoline dominates any available space. How long did you harden them off for? This one will probably be taller than me when in full bloom, eek, but that doesn't take much ;) Have a nice time in Crete, have a kleftico for me and steady on the raki, lol @hayleyaj

@gardengimp you won't need to harden off this time of year. Just pot then in individual pots till they can stand alone then plant on. We grow all our seeds indoors in March, then put the pop up greenhouse up in April and go from there. Everything in our garden is grown from seed😊

@hayleyaj that's quite an achievement, you must have saintly patience. I'd say I'd save a fortune but I garden on a super tight budget, scavenging this and that, occasionally splurging (under a tenner) on something I really want. I'll keep dreaming of a geodesic grow dome..:)

@gardengimp all our seeds were free with our £1 per week #gardenersnews magazine. We have loads of seeds we haven't yet looked at. Also from collected seeds. You don't need a huge budget, just a plan and collect seeds or do cuttings from your plants. I have 10 fuchsia cuttings, lavender, Rosemary as well as Penstemon etc from plants in the garden. I haven't bought a single plant this year.

@hayleyaj I propagate the odd cutting but seed germination options are limited. When we swap trampoline for greenhouse I'll be asking you for advice!

I can smell the foliage already, maybe faintly aniseed? Should get some good bee photos if it gets established and doesn't get trampled on by the multitude of defecating, digging neighbour's cats.
