Thanks @DeborahBanks I was hoping for a picture of its face but they weren't cooperating, so I put the macro gear away and they started sitting perfectly still and looking me in the eye 😁

Got these for the first time this year. Can't wait for them to flower!

Me too, they're worth waiting for. They just need something to lean against, mine leans against an acer and the trellis. Not worked out too bad @beckers1974

Thanks for the heads up on the support. Mine will def need that, given the rain we get here! It's bouncing right now! Shambles! 😣

Bleh! We're lucky today, cloudy with short blasts of rain. Are the famous Scottish midges out in force? @beckers1974

Yep! Early mornings and evenings, oh and pretty much during dry spells! I'm covered in bites! 😣 Freakin things flare up every night and take days to go away! Guess I must have sweet blood! 🍬

Oh no! That's what's always put me off camping in Scotland, holiday ruining midges. I'd like to camp near Loch Lomond but I even get bitten at home by non-Scottish ninja midges @beckers1974

Go glamping instead!

Good idea! With a couple of tins of fly spray :)

Citronella keeps them at bay - smells nicer than fly killer! Scenery's worth a wee ninja attack or two. I'm really lucky to only be 15/20 mins away from there.

I didn't know that @beckers1974, thanks! I've been around the loch on the way home from working near there many moons ago. Stayed in Arrochar on Loch Long, another one with breathtaking scenery :)
