I've always grown dahlias even though they were unfashionable. I think it stems from my uncle who was a farmer & had no interest or time for gardens except his beloved dahlias & beehives. I used to marvel at the huge heads of flowers in the farm garden. He had rows of little terracotta pots upturned on canes full of straw to catch what we call 'forkytails' better known as earwigs. I fell in love with them then and have never lost that 😀
@dahlia my favourite 😊

Hi @angipangi it is a beauty isn't it. 💞 Love Dahlias this year, they have made a bit of a comeback & so many to choose from. 😊 Gillie
Gorgeous now on my wish list 😆
Just looked on RHS dahlia register as forgotten name. 'Fashion Monger' collerette cultivar can grow to 39". (I have grown mine in large pot)
Beautiful ❤️📸
