I think I'm killing my bamboo, what's happening here?

This happens when out of water or dry then put back in water or overwatered. @greenwitch26

@tinaaune okay, because I had them submerged in water with stones. Bamboo confuses me but I wanted to try them out

Couple of things you can do. You need to change water every week and put distilled water. Wash the roots while changing water. You can also put some coco peat so that nutrient uptake is proper. Lastly the smaller bamboo needs lot of care and if not given then can wilt soon so next time you can go for slightly bigger Bamboo's #advice

@greenwitch26 they’re pretty hardy grasses to grow at home but I realized they like distilled or rain water best. Yours look quite gone... is it soft on the yellow parts?

@gauravsh6 thank you this helps much! They are sort of soft and wrinkled. These I bought at a flea market. But I can definitely change the water more

@veepaisal yes just barely soft though. I hope they have a shot at healing

Suggest you throw them away as they are diseased and can impact others in the group if you have more stalks still going strong. Alternatively you can cut all the soft part and plant in a separate pot #advice

They ought to. Just make sure you keep them in shade. They do not need direct light at all. I’ve had mine for close to 3 yrs now & I got them from HD hehe 😉 good luck with yours. I hope they bounce back!

@cyndi @veepaisal @gauravsh6 thank you all for the advice! I'm going to cut yellow for time being and put two in water and two in soil(I have two others in water not yellow) this has helped me a lot.
