Wow, that is really pretty!! Thanks for tagging me. I love seeing how beautiful shade plants can be. I‘m excited to get my first #rue and #columbine plants in the ground and see what they do! 😊🌱 Do you think any would be okay in containers, or do they need to go in the ground?
@laneygarden I live in zone 7 so I usually do not keep perennials in pots for fear that the roots are not protected enough during the winter. But in warmer areas they should be ok. Just make sure the roots have room to grow, and I t would be easier to divide them every few years in pots.
This is in a pot? Wow, it looks great and so full. I’d much rather have them in pots because so many plants can’t handle our hurricane season. The ground can get soupy from so much rain. Plus the sun gets so hot by August and it burns a lot of plants so they must be moved a lot. This is why I’m always so nervous to try delicate flowers! 😬😊
Columbine Aquilegia
@laneygarden Did not find the tag but it is a columbine. Deers do not eat them usually, which is nice.
It could be the pink and white origami columbine
@ambitiouswolf oh thank you! Pink and white origami columbine. I wasn’t sure the exact name and @laneygarden was asking 😊

@laneygarden No it’s not in a pot. I have it on the north side of my house so it gets mostly shade.
