@DeborahBanks i had loads of flower buds then most died before they opened except one.... Im going to blame the weather 😂

I have this on my allotment, I thought it was artichoke. Do you know the difference. Beautiful plant though 😊

@littleshed1 i know there from same family but different parts of the plant are eaten. Cardoon the leaves can be eaten
