Begonia 'Gryphon'

This one here is a show stopper. This picture does no justice! Leaves are so huge and dark and they glow in the sun and u can't see the red backs just so nice. #begoniagryphon

The leaves are massive on my #begoniagryphon I took cuttings but u can't even tell now

So I did a thing....chopped the crap out of my #gryphonbegonia and the #cuttings are looking beautiful and rooting. Can't wait to pot them up. I have a lot of cutting I would like to sell before fall so idk

My #gryphonbegonia #begoniagryphon is looking great! I just put it outside yesterday as I put all my plants out yesterday. Its just gonna get better. Its so funny how certain plants go thru the cycle of looking like total crap thru the winter and then amazing thru the summer. Gladly I know now to be patient and wait instead of giving up and throwing them away

One of my favorite begonias, it’s awesome and will always come back. The reason my begonias don’t die off is that I grow them in a controlled environment greenhouse

No browning @heatherdirtyhands for quite some time now. I get rid of bad leaves on all plants in the garden.

So it once was GORGEOUS and HUGE but it started looking like crap so I cut it all back and now its starting to grow again. Hopefully it gets back to its previous beauty #begoniagryphon #begonia

Now I know what to do if mine goes bad.

When anything in my #begoniasaurusrex collection looks sad there is usually nothing TO cut back lol

I mean look how thick my stumps are! The leaves just started to fade and get brown spots like tiny dots all over and I have no tolerance for yellow or brown or ripped or messed up leaves of any kind. I cut off anything I dont like and I just happened to hate all of it. I have done this with so many plants because of sunburn etc and they came back amazing @emch @docthrill

I believe it’s an angel-winged begonia. Very cool looking plant. Yours looks very healthy 😊💕

Definitely not angel wing they are shaped more like maple leaves and the leaves are singular on stems not like the wings. The red is the stems and the backs and they have sort of hairs on the backs and stems. I love this begonia its the easiest healthiest one I have ever had. (So far) @terrimclaughlin

I found out its a #gryphonbegonia I looked up maple leaf begonia and found a pic of it with that name. Hope that helps u @docthrill if u think yours is the same
