Notocactus ubelmannianus syn. Parodia werneri

I'm more than excited to see my new cactus flowering its not totally opened but I'm totally happy! More red in real life and I'm thinking now its a ball cactus. #cactusflower #cactus

@erino when I.looked thru that label theres all kind of different cacti so I'm.confused. people mislabel there plants wrong all the time too. My cactys does not have the strong ridges like some of them. The pics in the ball cactus category seemed similar. Idk

@heatherdirtyhands Yeah I'm not sure what kind of gymnocalycium, but look more towards ones like baldinum. I think the one with the really pronounced ridges is mihanovichii, very popular as the variegated version is the moon cactus. There is so much variation with gymnocalycium. And yes tones of people are putting the wrong labels on plants. Oh and the parodia have fuzzy flower buds, where this one of yours is scaly looking
