@kaporyash Itās one of very few that isnāt in my registry apparently, sorry it took so long. Looking at the purchase dates of my other plants, I found that it would have been early-mid March of this year when I got it. Itās grown so much, loved that summer sun haha 😎
Iāve just never seen it spelled monstruosa, or heard of that spelling. I have always seen the spelling āmonstroseā however both do seem to be used. Gotta love it when thereās 8 ways to say 1 thing haha! And as for the variegated, I know its the latin name :P I was meaning that it isnāt in the main name, it just says āJosephās Coatā rather than āVariegated Josephās Coatā Sorry, I did phrase that kinda weirdly. @cyndi
Oookies, getting some major āIām loosing my patienceā vibes from you here @cyndi and thatās not what Iām out to do, so Iām just gonna back off. Was just trying to point out that on gardentags, most common names have variegated added if itās a variegated form, to differentiate from their non-variegated forms. Such as non-variegated Josephās Coat and variegated Josephās Coat, as both exist.
No kidding @leno at school as a little kid I used the UK spelling of color, and always got yelled at for misspelling it, only to find out in my late teens that it was a perfectly valid, albeit of a different locale, spelling of the word! 🤣
Bruhs your encyclopedia misspelled monstrose, this is flaring up my OCD 🤯😫😖 #opuntia-monacantha-monstrose-variegata #cactus #variegated
AND the title doesnāt have āvariegatedā in it? 💀 Im dying 😵
Beautiful!! when did you bought it
Ummm hang on, Iāll check my registry :3 @kaporyash

@cyndi @heelerpup so there's nothing wrong with the spelling then?🤔looks fine to me👍🤣
@leno Indeed, it simply seems that there are two spellings: monstrose, and monstruosa. Language is beautiful isnāt it? 😂
@heelerpup there's alot of U.S. and UK words with slight differences aswell can be confusing sometimes 🤣🤪

@heelerpup my daughter is in college just now and American spellings are acceptable now, not the case when I was in school🤣
