I know they like to be on quite loose soil. The bulb should have a line which shows the level it has been in so at. If you put that in the ground and then dig about 6" deeper. Refill with the soil and put in a handful of grit to help with drainage then plant the bulb. The soil should be at the same level... I think the top of the bulb will still show above soil level. Hope this helps x

@sunnyray Thanks Diane I've added plenty of grit under and around and put them where the sun in the summer bakes my garden so nothing else will grow! I've planted them higher than I would other bulbs so I may of got it right... we'll see I guess. Heard they can take a while (yrs!) to settle in before they will flower?

Maybe 2-3 years until they flower well but worth the wait!
