@awomanonabike the plant underneath is a hosta! I did spot a flower stem on one of my hostas today - may post pic tomorrow - I didn't think any of them were going to flower this year. This weather really has stunted my garden compared to last year!

I thought it might be They look lovely together. Well, my "love in a mist" may not be flowering but my hostas are! We have had gorgeous weather this year but our season does start later than down south. I'm on the edge of the Lake District. Where are you?
