That is a rose but it looks like it is going over, if you keep cutting off the deadheads it will prolong the flowering period for you.

Thank you, yeah I spent all day today deadheading all the different rose bushes in my girlfriends mum's garden. Does anyone have any advice on deadheading/pruning lavender?
