@angiecrazycatlady it would probably be a group 2 for pruning but as its a Raymond Evison Clematis it can be pruned by the 'ponytail' method which is much more straightforward - after flowering gather stems together & chop them off anywhere from 6 inches to 2 ft above ground level. Then individually trim back to a pair of leaf buds to avoid unsightly twiggy stems!
A stunning Clematis variety, 'Alaina'. Flowers all summer long and grows to a maximum of 1.5m, making it ideal in a pot or in the ground.
