Hi Katy. Wanted to ask if you have ever had mealy bugs on your violets? I read that they are common to these plants. Have treated them with alcohol and it keeps coming back. I finally threw one out but am propagating it’s leaves. I usually keep them apart from the other plants. Should I try insecticidal soap on the others. They all have it. Thanks. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ @gjones

Thanks Katy. Just treated my Flaming Katy with insecticidal soap as I found some on it too. It had been floppy so I repotted it and cut it back. I knew it had a little and have treated it once. I guess they sucked the life out of it. The crazy thing is that it was in a separate room with only one other plant. This is frustrating. Thanks again. I am in pest control mode now 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ @gjones

I sat with a Qtip and vodka (no alcohol) one day and cleaned mealy bugs of an inside plant. Earlier this year I found some on my lilies. A strong hose spray and a couple applications of neem oil took care of them. I was a bit surprised because I figured it would be much more difficult to kill them

It did take longer to rid the houseplant bugs and I did put it in quarantine. I was way upset with finding them outside, I thought 'oh no, this is going to hurt!' I got lucky, I hope you will too
