#echeveria #echeveria-agavoides Not sure if plant ID is correct. Plant Snap says it is an echeveria-agavoides-chihuahuaensis. Any thoughts on this? @emch @dadayba
So, to gather some clues here: are there actual cactus spines on the leaf tips or are they soft to the touch? Has the plant as a whole stretched out since getting to your place, as if seeking more light? Any color changes?
The leaf tips look sharp but are rubbery to the touch. When I bought it Thursday at my local grocery store I waited for them to unload it from the box. It has been under grow lights since. I read one description of an e chihuahuaensis that described one type as being blue-grey in colour as this is. It looks to me like one of the photos in the gtags encyclopedia pics of the e-chihuahuaensis. Thanks for this help. 😊 @emch

It looks different to me, too @hkyfvr
I would wait until it flowers for proper ID. My guess is Echeveria Tippy or Echeveria colorata but it looks more like Tippy
Thanks Cherry. That sounds like a good plan. If only I could get my echeverias to flower. Not one has ever given me a flower 😩 @dadayba
Cherry says to wait till it flowers if I can get it to flower. Not much luck in that department 🙄🤷♀️ Thanks for your help though 😊 @emch
If it's "Tippy," it's quite etiolated...Would it hurt so much for these people to give buyers the names?
I know. It always ticks me off that so many plants have tags but no names. To me it does not look like Tippy but I am new to succulents.🤷♀️@emch

Check out E. chihuahuaensis "Ruby Blush."
