They say it often happens after having surgery. (Stitches) My daughter got these on Monday. Our local grocery store gives away plants when they close their garden centre. 😍 @gjones

How lovely is the gold veining on the back of the petals 😍🤩

It really is. I noticed it but am really looking at it now. So pretty. The flowers seem to be opening more slowly now so I can actually see this stage. Earlier in the season it would pop open in the night from a closed bud. Added bonus 👍😊 @kez001uk

They have been lately. I think putting them outdoors helps. At least when it is sunny like today. We yanked out all our poppies today. They were all covered in aphids or black fly. We have not been able to have a good look because of all the rain. Lucky they were almost all done. 😫🙀 😡 @kez001uk
