Thanks very much. Mine are almost done and I have collected lots of dry flowers. They did not last as long this summer probably due to lack of rain. 🤷♀️ @gjones
I think you are right. We are going down to 8 degrees tomorrow night so I will have to bring in all my tropicals. No frost forecast yet. We have had reversed weather patterns this summer but I too am hoping for a long warm autumn. A few hummingbirds were filling up at our feeder yesterday. 😍
Chiming in Ladies! South Central Wisconsin had nonstop, heavy rains from early Sunday - late Monday night! We got almost 5" in our rain gage... 😳 Our entire year of weather seemed skewed, didn't/doesn't it?!? I believe the earth is literally off her axis! 🤣🗺🧭🌎 @hkyfvr @gjones
Wow. Lots of rain. We had quite a bit too but not that much. It is crazy times with the weather. 🤷♀️ @KariSamuel

They’re looking great Diane 🌱
I went through a lot to get these. The fungus gnats ate away at the roots. Had to plant so many seeds too. At least I got some. My cosmos failed big time. I used my own seed and bought a pack for insurance but nothing came up. Weird. 🤦♀️🤷♀️ @kez001uk
Thanks Katy. It was a very slow process this year. 💚 @gjones
@hkyfvr I didn’t know fungus gnats were destructive 😮 thank you! Might explain why my seeds did so poorly last year 🤔 makes these even more special that they made it 😁 but strange none of your cosmos did 🥺
The fungus gnats lay eggs and their larvae feed on plant roots. New seedlings are their favourite I think. My cosmos were better last year. I must have overwatered or something. Beth had cosmos come back in her garden from last summer. Never happens with our Winters. 👍😊 @kez001uk
@hkyfvr why are bugs so destructive 😞 oh that’s great! Will be a very hardy cosmos surviving through your winter 😂
Just planted 3 of hers in my garden today. Hope they do well. 🤞🤞 @kez001uk

They look so insignificant when they first flower but spectacular when they get going 😍😍😍
Thanks Jane. First one I have ever had. Some are from seed. This one isn’t. Wait till you see my tiny allium. First time buying bulbs last fall and they are 10 inches tall with microscopic flowers. 🤣🤣🤷♀️ Lesson learned. Bigger bulbs this fall. 🙀 @pelly
I'll look forward to seeing them. I love the little alliums 😍

I planted zinnias twice this year and both lots seemed to have been eaten. I sprayed with grazers snail and slug spray but no luck 🙁
I hope these are ok. I have 10 seedlings in a pot that are growing well but I noticed something is eating at a couple of them. There are so many pests this year. The leaves on our trees are being eaten by tent caterpillars. We’re picking them off today. 🙀😫 @librarian

Thanks Katy. I am waiting for the last few to dry out so I can collect seeds and use this pot for my mandevilla. 🧡😍 @gjones
