Help me identify this plant! I'm sure this is stupidly basic but we were given this plant and I don't know what it is! Story of my life on here...is it a kind of yucca or no? #helpmeid #plantid #advice_id #whatisit

It's a phormium. Possibly Yellow Wave. A quick Google should confirm. If I'm right, do be aware that they get BIG. I've just removed mine as it was 7ft in both directions. It was a bit of a thing to get out. But they are lovely if you have room
Thank you @vespa I think you are right! Didn't know they needed so much space though 😮. Might need to move it!
I didn't either @Hollybok. Mine got so big that it used to smack me (and everyone else) across the legs when coming up the drive. It was especially unpleasant in the wet. But I think they can be grown in a pot, which limits their size a bit
They are quite slow growing though so I wouldn't move at the moment maybe see how it goes 😘🌺🌸🌼@hollybok
