Citrus Japonica

Kumquat tree making a nice recovery. It had been left for dead, receiving no watering/fertilizer or pruning care for a few years, but I’ve been nursing it to health. Second year under my care and it’s exploding with fruit lol ✌️going to be a while before the tree doesn’t look horrible though lol. I can’t prune it a lot until it gets some more height.

Last year this dwarf kumquat tree didn’t produce much fruit and I was called in to help its fruit production. The owner thought it was unhealthy and she was right! I found a buried trunk, unbalanced pH, wrong irrigation, poor soil, and a lack of key nutrients. Combine that with insects and plague and I’m surprised it was still alive. Pretty much everything that could go wrong occurred, besides pruning 😂 well I’d say she has made a full recovery 😊 she has more fruit then she can handle 🍊👌
