Help me identify this plant please. It's some kind of small cherry (prunus) but I'd like to identify the species as this one is in a neighbour's garden and I'd like one for mine. Thank you.
Ok @deborahscott can you walk me through it please? I'm thinking that oncw I've asked permission, I need to cleanly cut a piece about 6 inches long with leaves at the bottom, remove the leaves, dip in rooting powder and plant in compost. Is that right? Tips appreciated.
@houseofflowers The best one for bark effect is P. serrula, but has white flowers • The next best is P. sargentii which could be the one in the picture; it is the earliest to flower and first to show autumn colour

My suggestion would be to go to your local garden centre , show them this photo & im sure they will know the exact tree your after @houseofflowers 😘
