Oh dear gardens illustrated just given me a bit more work to do this weekend 😮

I've often wondered about Gardens Illustrated but thought it would make me feel inadequate. Would you recommend it?!

It can do that ... but also has some fabulous writers Christopher Lloyd used to write for them... they are very inspiring with their plant profiles and choices and in the main give good practice advice ... gave up on gardeners world as I felt some of the articles were not giving that ! And after a while couldn't tell the difference between March issue between one year and the next for example ! @awomanonabike

I still have some unread books by Christopher Lloyd so perhaps I should get them read first?!

He wrote so well 👍 very irreverent which I love ❤️ @awomanonabike

And opinionated too. I think he's probably the best garden writer I have ever read

I think so too Jaqueline I really enjoyed his stridence my favourite book is dear friend and gardener a collection of letters between him and Beth Chatto it made me laugh out loud and I also learnt a lot along the way 🙂 @awomanonabike

Funnily enough that's the one I have that haven't read yet. The well tempered garden is definitely worth a read too if you haven't already read it.
