Good morning 🖐️ This is why I have a love/hate relationship with the Magnolia 🙈💓 these leaves are so big and tough !
Morning Sam 😊I feel the same with my Rhododendrons but there both worth it for the lovely flowers 🤗🌸🌸🌸
It's true Pauline 🌸🌸 they are beautiful , off to get the rake out 🙂 @pauline33
Lovely. Have put wallflowers and tulips under my magnolia but it’s losing the plot has buds on it already 😱
Hi Sam. Lovely to see one of your photos again 😍 I feel the same about the leaves on our walnut tree. They’re huge but at least they’re not tough. Have a great Friday 😘 @icedance
Thank you Christine, I've got Tulips under mine now as well, your combination will look lovely 😍 one of the things I love is the silver buds over winter , don't worry not losing the plot just doing what it should 👍 @grandmagizzy
Aaaw thank you Barbara, lovely to hear from you 😘 new phone so sharper pics now 🙂 have a great Friday and weekend to come X @jacaranda

We have lift off 👍🙂🌸
I love Magnolia 😊
Me too Maria @elsie just hope the frost is kind to it this year 🤞❄️
My neighbour used to have one which I could admire from my front window but they cut it down and gravelled their entire front garden!!!!! 🙁
Oh dear @elsie I am slightly embarrassed to say we had one at the front too and we have gravelled over but in our defence it was too large and coupled with the 60 + ft Beech at the end of the drive we were clearing up leaves and petals all year round, we now have a large raised bed and a border at the side and the drive is now permeable and the neighbours can still appreciate the one at the back 🙂
@icedance everyone does what best suits them 😊and I was just being selfish as I can't see it now lol
#magnolia
I love it when the Magnolia's start to flower. I don't have one but there are quite a few around me. 💟💝💟
Not at all @elsie we were sorry to see it go but one was enough 🙂
Thanks Laura @columbiariver and yes Jane @pelly you know we're on the home straight when they are out, we have quite a few on the village they seem to like it here 🌸👍🙂
Beautiful 😄
Such gorgeous trees 💕 wish I had room for one 😏 I will be visiting a friend on Thursday who has a huge one in her garden - love seeing it in bloom 🌸

This is when I love ❤️ my Magnolia the most 😘
That looks bewitching 🤗
Aha my inner witch enjoys its ghostly form 👻🔮Susie @Susieg
Beautifu Sam @icedance 😊😊
Me too Sam 👻
Thank you Jane @pelly
Yes John @ukjohnny hope they won't open up too early this year last year they were ruined by frosts 🤞
Yes @ukjohnny Inherited this soulangeana and have to admit if I had my choice I would have a Stellata or Black tulip 🌷 they all have the joy of these silvery buds through winter which I find enchanting though ❄️✨
That's quite a collection John @ukjohnny look forward to some pics of them flowering 🌺
Will have a look 👀 @ukjohnny
My #pink I did tell her snow and high winds are on the way, but she's decided to perform anyway.
Yours sounds more sensible than mine John, April a safer bet to hold onto the blooms 👍 this is outside my kitchen window and a stunning accompaniment to the washing up 😍 @ukjohnny
Absolutely fabulous #pink 💗
Wow, that's going to be stunning! They are at about the same stage around here.
Thank you Elaine and Leslie hopefully she'll survive the weather, interesting to know yours are doing this to over there Leslie @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @lesliecole49
Beautiful Sam
We've had it all from frosts to floods to tornado warnings this week. I know my flowering trees have suffered. I hope it hasn't ruined too many early spring bloomers.
Ooh makes our weather sound positively tame Leslie ! Hope things calm down soon and spring can continue to 'sprung' 🤞 @lesliecole49
Beautiful, mine is in the shade so it’s only just budding 💕
Hopefully the worst of the wind will be over by the time yours comes out Sue , mine got overexcited by the mini summer we had a couple of weeks ago 🙈🌞 @suerichards
I think, Sam, that we are actually going to have a week of good weather before the next rain!
Oh, and I saw one of these today with the flowers about half open. They call them tulip trees or tulip magnolia around here
