Hydrangea in style! Hydrangea aspera Sargentii the rough leaved #hydrangea

The H. Aspera are wonderful plants, but it will be a few more weeks before mine flowers 🌸 Do you grow anything under or through it? Mine tends to look a bit sad earlier in the year when everything else is in leaf.

Thanks @awomanonabike ours are a featured shrub in the white border and underplanted with Snowdrops, wood anemone and white honesty.
