We have planted out a section of perpetual spinach - as long as you cover the plants with garden fleece if it snows then perpetual spinach can last for up to 5 years, giving leaf right up until the heart of winter and going again first thing in Spring. You can pick as many leaves as you need and the plant will respond by growing more - a fantastic plant and really easy to grow, plus spinach is really really good for ya !!

This has given me greens all this mild winter. It's s olant which keeps on giving. The slugs do love it and so I have decided the best policy is to strip lower leaves. Oh and squish slugs mercilessly.
