Anemone coronaria De Caen Blue

Morning everyone, I think this must be my #bestofapril as the pigeons have abstained from pecking off the buds before it gets a chance to bloom. My April #survivor #spring

I risked it and planted some last autumn. A bit worried I end up with all reds 🤣🤣 I hope I get a purple one 💜💜💜

Can’t tell you how upset I am. I think a pigeon may be responsible. A pair of them often perch up at that end of the garden. The stalk is still there but the flower head has gone 😠 @pelly @anges @charlotte

Yes, bet you're right 🙄 I've had pigeons eat the tops off my Cosmos seedlings recently - such a nuisance!

Sometimes I want to give up when that happens. A week or so ago the pigeons attacked my herbs. But then the next day something good happens in the garden so you keep going.

That's too bad.

Oh well, I shan’t let a pigeon get the better of me. Tomorrow’s another day and hopefully there’ll be more anemones to follow 🤞🤞 @charlotte @anges @novicegardenlover

My Dutch irises opened the other day and were amazing but my phone battery was dead so I didn't take the photo that day. A couple of hours later the rain started and now my irises are flat on the grass. Still flowering and great colour.
