Not the biggest youā€™ve ever seen, but Iā€™m happy with my first attempt at growing bell peppers. These were grown outside as I donā€™t have a greenhouse. #green-bell-pepper #gyo

Good idea Jane. Interestingly, I read somewhere if you prune the pepper plant you can overwinter and grow peppers again the following year. I might try that too 😊 @pelly

Mine always look a bit sad by the end of the season.

They say it will lose its leaves and look a bit sad but will spring back into life. Must admit I was a bit surprised by this Charlotte but Iā€™m all for giving it a go, so will overwinter it in the cold frame and see what happens. 😊🤞 @charlotte

I have heard you can do this. Don't think Mr F could be persuaded to have half dead pepper plants in the house over winter !!!

Haha...I must admit Iā€™m with him on this one. If I hadnā€™t recently bought a cold frame, I wouldnā€™t be bringing it in the house either @charlotte 😂

#gyo sweet pepper. I donā€™t have a greenhouse so I stated this off by my kitchen window. Problem with this was lack of pollination. So placed it outside in front of a mirror. The insects did their bit and the mirror intensified the effects of the sun and heat. As you can see, itā€™s worked a treat 😀 #tips #advice #sweet-pepper #mirror

Let me reintroduce my pepper plant, who despite being previously catalogued as a chilli pepper is in fact a sweet pepper plant 🙈 Turns out the problem was lack of pollination from being grown indoors. The peppers have a long way to go before being ready for harvesting but they are certainly coming along nicely and thereā€™s lots of them too 😀 #gyo

Iā€™ve put mine in front of the mirror in the garden in the hope it will reflect and magnify any heat from the sun...desperate measures! 😂 @pelly

Great idea, mine are in the greenhouse but I put them out if thereā€™s any sun ā˜€ļø

Sadly I donā€™t have a greenhouse, but Iā€™ve just bought a coldframe. It might be worth seeing if it will fit in the coldframe overnight? 🤔 @pelly

I'm sure it would help, the temperatures are dropping at night now 🌡
