Bit of an experiment…having lost my cordyline this year I’ve decided to plant an echinacea green twister in its huge planter instead. Decision made following reading a 3ft plant can have up to 6ft roots! Plus @sieveheadsarah warning me about it being a favourite for slugs and snails! #echinacea #echinacea-twister #echinacea-green-twister #ajaug22 #planter

I’ve got two twisters, one of them I grew from seed and they’ve never been bothered by slugs or snails, I must be lucky because they grow like weeds in my garden….even reseed 🤔

Oh, thanks for warning Sarah! I may have to think carefully where I’m going to put this then. I was thinking a pot but just read they have very deep roots….hmm 🤔 @sieveheadsarah

I moved mine from the ground to a pot as it was getting eaten every year Angela, but it only lived about 3yrs, possibly because it wasn’t in a tall enough pot 🤔🤨

Aw that’s a shame! I was reading a three foot plant has 6 foot roots! Thinking I may have to plant them in the chimney!!!! 😂@sieveheadsarah
