Houttuynia cordata

Taking a stab at this one which has sprung up in a damp, shady area. Think it may be Houttuynia cordata ‘Chameleon’ 🤔 Please feel free to correct me if you think I’ve got it wrong 😊 #houttuynia #shade

It sure looks like chameleon leaf to me...the fabled fish mint LOL

Thanks Eileen. I believe it can be invasive so may have to divide it come Spring or endeavour to confine its roots. I’m wondering if it may be worth digging it up now, putting it in a pot and burying pot back in original position? 🤔 @emch

It is definitely invasive as all get out. Your best bet is to keep it in an aboveground container or some other totally isolated spot. A pot sunk in the ground might be too lenient...
