Taking a stab at this one which has sprung up in a damp, shady area. Think it may be Houttuynia cordata ‘Chameleon’ 🤔 Please feel free to correct me if you think I’ve got it wrong 😊 #houttuynia #shade
Thanks Eileen. I believe it can be invasive so may have to divide it come Spring or endeavour to confine its roots. I’m wondering if it may be worth digging it up now, putting it in a pot and burying pot back in original position? 🤔 @emch
It is definitely invasive as all get out. Your best bet is to keep it in an aboveground container or some other totally isolated spot. A pot sunk in the ground might be too lenient...
I’ve got it Angela....loads of it and so will you if you don’t keep it under control...it has the most beautiful colours but I’m forever pulling it out (and it stinks) hope I haven’t put you off.!!😛
Lol...maybe I should just have binned it!!! 🙈😂 I haven’t had the pleasure of its pungency yet. Can’t wait! 🥴 Fortunately it is only very small, let’s just hope I got all the roots out! 🤞 This could potentially be a very short lived addition to the garden if it proves too smelly 😂🤣😂 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

It sure looks like chameleon leaf to me...the fabled fish mint LOL
Not a plant I know anything about really, so I'm of no help 🙄👍

Guess what Jane....think it may be another invasive number! 🙄😬 x @pelly

Yes, agree with @emch. Lovely foliage, not so lovely invasive habit🙈
Oh oh 🙄😵
Ahh...thank you so much Eileen and Celina. I shall pot it up and it can go on the patio well away from any free-ranging opportunity! 😊👍 @emch @cee
Done! Dug up and repotted. Now on patio 😅 @emch @cee @pelly
