I’m a little confused…these were white last year and I loved them. Very definitely yellow this year and I’m not liking them as much. Does any one know if this is normal? #ixia #africancornlily #spotted-african-corn-lily

It’s very strange. Looking at last years, there weren’t as many flowers either, there’s loads this year. I’m wondering if this is its true form and colour? I’ve checked and although they do come in different colours, I can’t find anything about them changing colour. Maybe last year they were just getting established? 🤔 The more I look at them, the more I’m coming round to liking them…I think it was just the shock of them not being what I expected @sieveheadsarah @anges

Have you changed the growing conditions in any way ?

No, it’s in a very dry narrow raised border that runs along the front of the house Ange. The only thing that was any different was all that rain in May…I wonder if that has anything to do with it? 🤔 @anges

I’ve taken a stab at this one....any consensus on this one please? Is it a Corn Lilly? Very long stem, numerous flowers along the top part of stem 🤔 PlantID

Thanks Caroline....I planted the bulbs a few years ago. Can’t remember what they are! 🙈 This is why I desperately needed to join GTags as an aid to my appalling memory 🤯 @Cazx

Ixia (african (spotted) corn lily). Spike can have upwards of 10+ flowers if it is..

Morning Mark 😊 Yes, that description would definitely apply here. Another ID sorted! Thanks Mark 😀 @solly1961
