Having read that planting salvia with roses improves the overall health of the rose, I thought I’d try it out. I have 3 of these climbers but only planted salvia with one of them. I think it’s safe to say it does work. This rose has no aphids and no black spot 😀 #rose #salvia #rose-tip #tips #chemicalfree #ajaug22 #companionplanting #combo

That’s a great tip, Angela. Salvias are supposed to love hot, dry weather so I’m going to invest in some next year 👍

This climbing rose & salvia are in a large planter Jason, so I don’t know how the salvia will fare when I plant under the roses I have in the border. It may be something I shall have to look out for…🤔 @hebelover
