Horticulture is God's gift to me. It is my escape from the things that would otherwise take a toll on life. It has taught me so many lessons.

O. maculata is a terrestrial orchid native to Africa (Garay and Taylor, 1976) and Madagascar (Madagascar Catalogue, 2012) with invasive behaviour. Currently, this species is found throughout the Neotropics, making it one of the most successful invasive plants (Stern, 1988) and it is included in the World Compendium of Weeds (Randall, 2012).
