I love this and you have caught it perfectly. Mine has been eaten by bank voles and I just can’t find a way to protect it 🤔😡

That's a shame Jacq, I got this early last year from a yard sale for 1.50 it flowered all last summer and again now. Wonder if there is anything you can do to protect yours @awomanonabike

What a bargain! I don’t know Jayne. I’ve tried a copper ring and now I’ve got an open ended tin over it as that’s a bit higher - not pretty though 🙄😂

4w
comment
joanboston

Maybe a collar of chicken wire Jacq? Wouldn’t be as obvious, but maybe they will just climb it? @awomanonabike

4w
comment
awomanonabike

The problem is they are so small. They are the size of mice or smaller. I think they would just climb through it - or it would give them purchase to climb over! @joanboston

I've one here, they are very small, it ran past Keely when she was in a border here, she never budged, I would have acted differently 🤣 @awomanonabike @joanboston

Maybe a clear plastic bottle made into a sleeve @awomanonabike ?

4w
comment
awomanonabike

Now that is a good idea Joan. Why didn’t I think of that? 🙄 Now just to find some 👍 @joanboston

I bought this from a yard sale earlier in the year Julie, bought the smaller one a couple of weeks ago, put it near my pond and it seems to like it. I think what grows in one garden doesn't always in another @juliesgarden
