I wanted it named in my album by the name I know it as, and I really don't like that this app changes the names in my album for me.
You can request an edit to the existing page to have that common name added in, but I think this one will just get merged with the one that's already there.
I'm sure it will be merged, and when I go looking for my plant and can't find it I'll get really frustrated. 😞
It seems to me if you are going to force one name be used as the main label it should be the Latin name they all have in common to avoid this, especially since they get changed with no notification to the user.
I agree. I don't use common names unless the plant is a hybrid. I think it's silly to display them like that when people call plants different things, it leads to confusion. If you can't find the plant on your plant list, just search your list by typing in the Latin name and it should still work.
