A bit of a messy-looking photo, but hopefully you can see that it shows something strange. A calendula flower with 5 smaller flowers on stalks emerging from the base of the main one! I've only ever seen this happen with a red monarda I have (last year). Strange, or is this quite common? 🤔

Oh! Well to me it looks very strange, I've never seen them like this. However that doesn't have to mean much 😁 I never grew them

The odd thing is that all the other flowers on the same plant are normal. Maybe some kind of mutation? 🤔 @jaynehynesburton @pelly & @natii
