A bit of a messy-looking photo, but hopefully you can see that it shows something strange. A calendula flower with 5 smaller flowers on stalks emerging from the base of the main one! I've only ever seen this happen with a red monarda I have (last year). Strange, or is this quite common? 🤔

I've never seen it, grew some last year, they are lovely flowers
It's not a plant I grow very often, but I've certainly not seen that before Jeff 🤔🤔
Oh! Well to me it looks very strange, I've never seen them like this. However that doesn't have to mean much 😁 I never grew them
The odd thing is that all the other flowers on the same plant are normal. Maybe some kind of mutation? 🤔 @jaynehynesburton @pelly & @natii
Not a clue! But I like it!
I might just keep some seeds from the little mutant flowers 😉 @rachelbrooks
I think you should! Who knows what you’ll get?! 👽👹🌼
Could be some new weird alien flower type that could make me £zillions. OK, I've woken up now! 😁 @rachelbrooks
I just hope it will produce seeds. If so, I'll keep ya some 😉 @cyndi
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom This is my little mutant! 😁 Have you ever seen a calendula do this? 🤔
Omg Jeff that is weird it’s like a candelabra 😆😆 very unique 👍🏼
