Help me identify this plant. Found growing in a pot at a Thai Buddhist temple in London. Seen them in Thailand when on holiday there.

Just remember having seen it before and wondering if it was a pink Bromeliad so looked it up! Strange how some things stick in your head! 👍🏼👍🏼

Nice one @christos 👍 You're the only person I know here who has one. Never seen them for sale, but then again, not been to Ikea for many years.

@jeatacake I got some last year and even though I mulched them heavily they did not survive in the ground.

@maldavis sorry to hear that. Not sure what your winters are like there, but I have only seen them in the wild in Thailand. They would never survive the winter here, that much us for sure!

We're zone 7b which gets down to 5f or -15c.

Oh boy, that will be far too cold for them 😖 That's colder than here, where it almost never goes below -10C @maldavis

Thanks Terri 😘 but this one was on my travels in London a couple of weeks ago. I could only dream of having this one & the climate to go with it! 😀 @terrimclaughlin
