Wonderful gift received today from @juliesgarden 👌💕👍😍🏵 Thank you Jules 😘 Potted up to let it recover & re-establish itself before I decide where I plant it
I'm no expert on these having only just luckily acquired some, but I would say maybe not too late to sow them, but probably too late for flowers from them this year? @midnightgardener
We've had a much better than normal late spring/early summer, so who knows? Will you be giving in to temptation with these seeds then? @midnightgardener
That's probably not a bad idea. Seed sown late may mean young seedlings having a struggle through winter, whereas spring sown ones should be bigger & tough enough to face winter. They may even flower too! 😁 @midnightgardener 👍
@jeatacake I don't know why but I just thought Hibiscus are very nice shrubs. Do you have one? Surely they're not too ordinary for you are they Ambassador?😃
I have several on the go right now as it happens Ms Midnight Feast. All from seed from America. They are all growing very well but no sign of flower buds yet. The ones I saw over there last year were amazing, so you can guess what a happy boy I'll be if I can get them to flower here! I'm not sure how long seeds of these remain viable, but I have pleny left if you want to try some next spring or even if I get seed from mine here (although that may be fanciful thinking!) @midnightgardener
Certainly would thank you & you'll see it here first! Having seen several American ones in flower on here, I have everything crossed for my trans Atlantic pioneers 😁 @midnightgardener
