WHAT IS WRONG W/ MY CONEFLOWER??? The blooms turn pitch black as if they were burned literally that's what it looks like and I've been cutting them off afterwards is this common for this type of plant? Or do the bees cause this because they attract a lot of bees? Is it doing well to you according to the picture? Any help would be great thank you.
mine turn dark brown when done. pick for seeds then

Nothing appears to be wrong with it @Jen1314 with the hot temps it needs watered every other day while in a pot. Cut off all the flowers when they go bad. Leave a few at the end of the season for birds and self-seeding for new plants next year
