48 hours after placing in water. I used bottled water Ph balanced. It loved the water.

Update... this plant is seriously taking off. Had LOTS of roots in just 48 hours. I’m confident it’ll be happy in soil.

Good luck. I tried to start cutting from my indoor plant and not doing so good. I'm just not doing to good this year with much garden tasks@jenncess. Let me know if it takes off.

@hammerhead I have this rooting in distilled water with a drop of fertilizer. I’ve had pretty good luck with all my tradescantia rootings. I plant as soon as I have a decent root. Should only take about a week or two.
I used paper clips snapped in half to pin the stem under the soil to keep the roots moist
